Building a Strong Vocabulary
Ideally, building a strong vocabulary base should be followed up with opportunities to add equally strong layers of vocabulary as well as the skills needed to use this vocabulary more effectively.
These layers are more commonly known as “vocabulary boosts,” and the more of these vocabulary boosts you allow yourself, the more successful you’ll be.
Young children can be encouraged to give themselves regular ‘vocabulary boosts’ in fun, non-stress ways such as those found in books, games, and other vocabulary activities created for just this purpose.
School-aged children should also be encouraged to practice building and improving their vocabulary skills for better reading comprehension, writing mechanics, achieving higher grades, and for improving their communication skills.
Junior, and Senior students will find that these skills will help them to raise their scores on important assessment test such as the SATs and ACTs. This is a must-have today for students to get the scholarships, grants, and admissions to the college of their choice.
By the time these children are grown into adults and enter the workforce, they are primed for success. Promotions and career success are greatly enhanced by the solid foundation layed down from childhood.
